I, B. Dave Walters, The Man of Steel, feel a bit nervous.
The job interview tomorrow isn't a big deal to me, (even though I hope to get the job); but I actually feel a bit weirded out about the audition on Saturday.
It's amazing to think that all my waiting could be over, and my big break is finally here! I also started thinking about why it is that some people have almost 2 million votes on the website, and I have barely 1,000.
And other people will probably have acting experience of some sort, and I don't really.
Luckily enough, I got over it by remembering the one thing I have no one else does:
I am *me *.
No one else is me, and no one else can do what I do.
If this is truly my time to shine, it will not miss me; and luckily enough: I kinda stick out in a crowd!
So the plan is go and shock and awe them in my interview tomorrow, come home and fill out my paperwork for the audition, go and buy some snacks and bottled water, and then go to bed around 5 or 6 pm and sleep as long as I can, since I want to be out the door by 4 am to drive down to the audition (about an hour away). I figure if I get there early, I'll get a lower number arm band, and end up getting done sooner.
So...I'm off to bed!
(Don't forget: Oprah auditions are still going on; please vote often (you can do it many times, on multiple days); if you aren't a US Resident please leave a comment!)
